GETTING AROUND
AIRPORT & ARRIVAL
Tokyo is served by Narita International Airport (NRT) and Haneda Airport (HND). Haneda is generally closer to central Tokyo, while Narita is farther out. Taxis, airport limousine buses, trains, and private transfers are all available for getting into the city.
TRANSPORT TIPS
Tokyo’s public transport is safe, efficient, and easy to use. Trains and subways are usually the fastest way to get around. A Suica or PASMO card makes travel much easier and can be used across most trains, subways, and buses.
USEFUL NOTES
Japan is generally very convenient for visitors. Credit cards are widely accepted in hotels, restaurants, and major shops, but it’s still useful to carry some cash. Power outlets are Type A, 100V, and English signage is common throughout central Tokyo.
